Late August & early September mean "blackberry picking" in Washington. They grow wild all over the place. We walked across the street from our neighborhood, to Beaver Lake Park and picked lots of them. The great thing is, Gabrielle can make great pies! Hmmm . . . I wonder what we should do with all these blackberries?

I have an idea, you could pack some in the same box with Mom's diploma and send them to us in FEDEX. :-)
I will take some too.. you going to the post office anyway right!??
my vote is to push some of them through a strainer to get out the seeds and make some yummy blackberry ice cream!
