Jakob's Talent Week

So a couple of weeks ago, was the last week of School. As a result, Jakob treated us to a display of much of his talents. The first picture here is a Mondrian-inspired abstract piece. (Laura told me to write that, I haven't a clue what Mondrian is... but maybe some of you do.). Following the Art, is a demonstration of his ability to re-create the Solar System. I know that many of you would think that would be quite a big job for an 8 year old boy. But if you look closely, you can the Sun and all the planets, faithfully replicated in styrofoam. He was pretty exicted that his ACT teacher took the time to display his project for the parents.

Another school project, this one is his animal book project. Jakob studied and wrote a book about the Red-Eyed Tree Frogs.

Finally, above are a couple of pictures from Jakob's Piano recital. Both him playing a duet with his piano teacher (Mrs. Savage) and his certificate of completion. As you can tell, he was pretty proud of this accomplishment.
