So today we ventured out to the lagoon to go snorkeling. Jakob had been snorkeling a little bit a few years ago when we went to Key West. However, I wasnt sure how well he'd do in the ocean for his first time, with current etc. So, instead of jumping into the ocean as a first try, we decided to try it out a bit today with our first venture into Paradise Lagoon. Its a protected lagoon so we didnt have to worry about real currents, or potentially nasty sea-life (jellies, corals, etc.). We got the gear on and then ventured into the water for about an hour we swam around the man-made corals and saw a ton of fish, and Jake got to practice clearing his snorkel, diving, and treading water. After we went snorkeling for a couple of hours, we spent the rest of the day on the water-slides!The Life and Time of the Struempler Clan ... what a great tradition, and how lucky for Jake to go to Atlantis! Enjoy *every* moment together! It's a trip of a lifetime for a kid.
